For most people, it is the fear of rejection and/or failure – and the unknown.
The paralyzing factor in fear is usually the emotion of it, not the reality of it. The story of the elephant petrified by a mouse comes to mind. It’s a humorous image.
But who’s laughing when Christians freeze for fear of rejection, failure or the unknown?
God sure isn’t.
That’s because fear doesn’t come from God. We do.
Meaning as sons of God and brothers to Christ, we should fear absolutely nothing in this world – least of all rejection, failure or the unknown.
So our position is simply this: I CAN BECAUSE I AM.
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ… ~ Romans 8:16-17
